'Rat' 24081 eases into Winchcombe after exiting Greet Tunnel seen in the background..24 september 2005..

Sitting in the sun under a cloudless sky (Don't see too many of those) is 24081 just prior to departure from Winchcombe towards Toddington with a working that originated at Cheltenham RC..24 september 2005..

Having recently visited the 'Gloucester & Warwick Rly' for their very succesful Summer Diesel-Gala though I might add a few shots from the 2005 event taken with a Minolta-Dimage-A200 Camera,not up to Canon quality but still reasonable.4 years is a long time in Digi evolution!...Here is seen 47376 just after it was re-named 'Freightliner 1995',looking immaculate after receiving a repaint as well.Since this time loco has undergone major power-plant surgery,only re-appearing in Spring 2009.Location is of coarse Winchcombe..24 september 2005..

Parked on the depot at Toddington is 20154.Engine did not fulfil its final booked working as it was deemed 'Unable to run due to minor fault' (quickly repaired), but too late to do its booked working' so was stepped down in favour for 37215..12 july 2009..

Probably the nicest shot to date (For Me) of this superbly looked after example of the 1750hp EE type-3.Deputising for the failed 20154 was 37215,here returning to Toddington with the 17:32 from Winchcombe.By the late afternoon the sky was begining to clear nicely,regretfully Gala was drawing to a close by then and as usual a 'full blue' ride home down the M5 had to be endured!..12 july 2009..

Recently'refreshed and refurbished' 37215 looking and sounding in superb form passes Hailes-Abbey past the Willow-Herb beds there with the 16:22 from Winchcombe to Toddington.Even at this late stage of the day trains were still running pretty much to time.FGW take note! ..12 july 2009..

Approaching Didbrook with the 15:50 to Winchcombe is seen immaculate 37215 caught in a lucky patch of sunshine (just)..12 july 2009..

Resident Chopper D8137 rattles through Didbrook with the 15:20 from Toddington going the full length of the line to Cheltenham RC.Despite paint on this engine now weathered down to a matt finish it was still a perfect match(colourwise) for the class-20 visitor 20154..13 july 2009..

Running back past Didbrook on the GW-Rly is seen 47105 with the 15:05 from Winchcombe to Toddington.Despite appearance Sun was not particularly co-operative today,rarely shining at the right times,this shot (though backlit) was one of the few times things came together!..12 july 2009..

Class 31 running as 5580 seen approaching Dixton-Cutting at Far-Stanley with the working to Cheltenham-RC that departed Toddington at 14:20.Bit of a grab shot this as the clouds were heading towards the train faster than the train was moving towards me! As it passed, all was dark!..12 july 2009..

Since we did a lap of the line during the morning with this pair of 20's in charge this was the only chance we had of getting a shot with the visiting 20 (20154) on the front and D8137 inside.Thankfully Sun played ball and Gotherington was chosen as the place to 'get it'.Here is the 13:10 from Toddington to Cheltenham Race-Coarse about to gallop through Gotherington-Halt at full line speed!..12 july 2009..
