59/0-59/1-59/2 Class Pioneers on 1st/April/2008

Not many places where you can see 3 class-prototypes in just over an hour all on revenue earning workings.Frome in Somerset is one of those places. To see all three classes of 59 Doyen's within 1 hour was something of a rare event.It happened on 1st April 2008-------(honest)

Now this is the Daddy of them all.
Now this is the Daddy of them all."Hand-Built" 59001(1986) now 22 years old and still going strong.Still carries the Presentation-Bell(Just visable in shadow above the cab window).Bet the designers did not realise where the building of this loco would lead!.....Here we see 59001 on the Frome Avoiding line with 7A15,the evening "Jumbo" from Merehead to Acton..01 april 2008..
