Could not resist a full study of the "Royal Scot" as it passed with its only "Forward-Facing" run of the day which was the 14:55 from B-Lydeard to Minehead,pictured near Doniford-Halt.note to lack of Lms decals on the tender,a small point considering the trials in the last week to have it running!..29 march 2009..

Finally into service after nearly 45 years off a proper railway line is LMS "icon" 6100 "Royal Scot". Pressed into service despite having its front-end singed when the trailer bringing it to the gala caught fire on the M5. Here we see the engine in a very bright version of LMS Crimson heading for Minehead shortly after leaving Williton..29 march 2009..

This Lady walking her dog appeared completely oblivious to the massed ranks of photographers assembled to record the passing of the "Royal Scot".Happily she did not upset anybody,and nobody had a go at her (Thank goodness!)..29 march 2009..
