As I was arriving at the bridge at Wickwar in readiness to picture to two regular 'fuel trains' this old piece of kit was chuffing over the bridge,was told heading for a local 'Steam Fair' from a local farm and the drivers name was Jake!.Named'Fair Rosumund' and according to smokebox-door castings was manufatured by 'The Wallis Expansion Engine Company' Believe this type is known as a small Showman's Engine.Not really visable it was towing an old Workmans-Caravan and a short-wheelbase Land-Rover!..29 may 2009..

Swooping and wheeling overhead whilst awaiting the 37 tour '1z44' was this rather large Bird of Prey,been told by one who knows it is a 'Red-Kite' This was a bad omen? as tour ran on wrong line(slow not fast as booked) and shot was a disaster! One of the older style liveried 'Murco' TEA tanks brings up the rear of the rapidly departing '6B47' seen here at Westerleigh Village.The Pot of Gold at the end of this particular Rainbow was the full sun shot of 'Teenage Spirit' which was in charge of this working.After getting covered in mud,scagging jeans on barbed-wire and getting thoroughly soaked we earned that 'pot' !!! ..16 may 2009..

Westerleigh Murco Terminal.Here a 'sneak-peak' through the chainlink fencing shows the TEA bogie tanks being discharged with the help of a couple of Murco-Men.Once emptying is complete train will be reformed as one ready for almost immediate departure..16 may 2009..

Whilst waiting for some "traction-action" on Upton-Bank at Dilton-Marsh my attention was drawn to this venerable piece of American flying history that was making a low pass down the valley.It is of coarse a Chinook CH47 decked out in army colours,amazingly this machine could be up to 47 yrs old as was introduced in early 60's and saw active service in Vietnam!
