When I was 16 and just before starting work for "Post Office Telephones"as BT was known then did a week long trip to Scotland,On the way home stopped off in York to visit the original Museum.I then continued my journey home,leaving York behind D9003.This shot was taken from the window directly behind the loco just as the train was pulling away from York Station.Class B1 61029 by then shorn of its nameplates heads south after coming off the avoiding lines around the station with a fitted freight..August 1965..
